Alba Ristorante Italian restaurant Boulder Colorado COALBA RISTORANTE
2480 Canyon Blvd., 303-938-8800

Inspired by the food, wine and people of Italy’s Piemonte region, Alba is a favorite of locals, visitors and critics. Chef Alexander Feldman brings a wealth of experience to Alba, having worked in some of Italy’s finest restaurants. The menu is weighted toward the cooking of northern Italy, especially Piemonte, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. The kitchen produces fresh pasta daily, offering tagliatelle Bolognese, agnolotti with braised beef, and garganelli with roasted local mushrooms. Handmade Tuscan gnocchi and a variety of risottos also appear on the menu. Among the entrées are oven-roasted scallops, spicy red snapper, crispy pan-seared duck and a special steak of the day. A nightly vegetable tasting incorporates the freshest available produce. Alba presents a regional tasting menu as well as monthly wine dinners. Chef Feldman has introduced an artisanal cheese plate and many new desserts, including pomegranate panna cotta, hazelnut semifreddo and chocolate budino. The wine list features a broad selection from Italy and California, with strongest emphasis on Piemonte and Tuscany. The warmly decorated dining room, lit with antique fixtures, has acoustics that allow for intimate conversation. An antique farm table provides a unique focal point and staging area for food and wine service. There is ample parking. Open Mon-Sat for lunch; every night for dinner. All major credit cards. Online reservations available.
